Peroxide on snakebite piercing?

Ok so last week I got my lip pierced (rounded barbell snakebite). Last night, I had been drinking and was throwing up. My boyfriend had me gargle some peroxide to help my burning throat, without realizing that you're not supposed to put peroxide on a new piercing. It hurts like HECK, and the skin around it is white (of course, because the peroxide zapped and killed the skin). What can I do to ease the pain and help the healing process? Obviously I learned a valuable lesson, don't drink when you've gotten a new piecing.
