Hit and run and really sore?

Today I rude man hit the back of my car on the right hand side. It is just the back panger door on the right that is damaged. I didnt get the plate because he made me belive that he would fallow me to a parking lot (my first car accident!) As soon as I pulled in he was gone and no site of him. I do belive it was his fault because he was trying to run a read light as I was trying to do a lane change that was open cause it was surounded with red lights. Any how what are my options now that I have not sent in a inshurance claim and no police forms were filled out? I know that he was driving a red pontiac. And there are light surrounding that intersection but not the accident intersection.
