Do you think it is a bit concerning that Christians condone some of the horrifying pages found in The Bible?

I am a Christian, and I am not a Biblical literalist. Literalism is more of a Fundamentalist specialty. I absolutely do not condone slavery, misogyny, genocide, phobia and other moral wrongs that appear in the Bible. I do not wish to have such things as a component of my moral code. Because of this, some people want to label me as a heretic; so be it. To me, it is far more heretical to use my religion to promote hatred.
